Listers are elected town officials and operate independently of the Town Select Board and Village Trustees. Listers are charged with determining the value of all real property in the Town and Village on which a tax rate will be set to raise money for the Town and Village.

The Grand List is the responsibility of the Listers. This list describes all taxable and non-taxable properties in the Town and Village with names, addresses, and parcel ID numbers. Listers provide an annual copy of the Grand List to the Town Clerk and is available to the public for inspection. A copy is also forwarded to the Vermont Department of Taxes Division of Property Valuation and Review.
