Cindy Cady is the Animal Control Officer for the Town of Lyndon. Thanks to a great fundraising effort on her part, a new facility for the Lyndon dog pound was completed in March 2006. It is located behind the Lyndonville Agway on Route 5. The new building features eight kennels, each with outdoor access, hot and cold running water and plenty of room for cats.
When cats and kittens are ready for adoption they leave the kennel area of the dog pound and can be viewed at the Agway store. To view the dogs available at the pound just call Cindy at 626-7297 (PAWS) to schedule an appointment. You can adopt a cat for a fee of $75.00 or a dog for a fee of $100.00, and the Town of Lyndon will then cover the cost of the animal's initial rabies vaccination and first distemper shot as well as the cost of spaying or neutering when participating veterinarians are used.
